Dover-Root Park: 2015 Pocket Park Design Centered on Community Values and a Greener Future

04/28/15
After talking to some family who live in Philadelphia, I was referred to John F. Collins Park. It is a charming and simple park focused on shade and soothing sounds of nature. They have a running fountain to provide noise and plenty of trees to hear the rustle of leaves. In general, it provides a relaxing place to work, study, or meet with friends. There is also a small café incorporated into the park and they have scheduled musical and theatrical performances on evenings during the weekend. The designer focused on the use of natural coloration that would soothe visitors and provide for a calming natural get away.
