This is an article I found that looks at some of the best pocket parks out there (http://untappedcities.com/2014/01/14/13-of-the-best-pocket-parks-in-nyc/). The things I liked about all of these parks are how far away one feels from an urban environment. They were also incredibly efficient with space, as they were built right into the cities, not next to them. The picture that I've uploaded is a perfect example of both of these things. First of all, its built right between two buildings, and this overshadow is what is replacing trees to provide an intimate environment. However, they still provide the necessary greenery with ivy on the walls. Also, they manage to create a unique and separated environment in another way: the use of the falling water also blocks out the noise of the city and can really change a users perception to make them feel more and more like they're in nature. This park is appealing to all the senses in order to make the experience as real as possible.
