I wanted this to be a family friendly park, so one of the things that I included was a playground area. It includes a small play structure and a swing set for the children along with some structures that can be climbed on. For the adults that are there watching their children, there are some benches located within the actual play area. For such events as birthday parties, there is a small picnic area and a small grass field located just across from the playground.

Adaptive Reuse

Architects often find creative ways to reuse old structures that are no longer in use. Check out how old rail lines were adapted to create New York's High Line and Chicago's 606.

Comments

The design incorporates an adequate amount of landscaping as well as pathways. It would be beneficial to add a shade structure over the playground. Parents could sit under the other shade structure with the benches, but children would need a cover from the harsh Las Vegas sun.

I really enjoy the park. it can be enjoyed by both children and adults. There is a well balance between hardscape and softscape with the mixture of rocks, concentrate, and grass provided in the park. All the plants are kid friendly is that is really important to have if you want to have a playground in your park. Everything flows well together. The only suggestion I would make is to try rendering more images at different angles.
