Nowadays, many people prefer to have green energy, and I wanted my park design to be relatively eco-friendly. Therefore, one of my plans was to add solar panels onto one of the picnic shade structures. Some of the energy generated from this would go to powering the walkway lights and any other lights used for evening use in the park while any unneeded portion of energy would go back to the community. The solar cells would be located on the west facing slopes of the awning structure so that it best takes in the suns rays.

This is a really great concept. Have you thought about how many solar panels the park would actually need to maintain the lighting and of what cost the items may be?
