The round opening is on the roof of the first floor, and we wanted to incorporate a skylight into our model so we added in a window that would not create alot of heat but will produce the right amout of light.

Are you guys using plexi glass for the glazing?

We haven't looked into depth about plexi glass glazing, we looked more into passive solar design windows. We will be sure to look more into that!
