The top view of the new cafeteria displays how the lunch lines and tables do not interfere. It also shows hot much extra space there is so it isn't too crowded. Also the glass panels in the front of the building along with all the windows on the side provide natural light during the day.

i like that you created so much space between the tables and the lunch lines. that will definitely help with the collision of students and tables.

I like that you have more space for lines but it seems like you have to much open space in the right bottom corner. Will there be enough seats for every one?

I really like your designs. It seems very space efficient, but I agree with Tanya, it kinda seems like theres too much empty space. Maybe think of other seating designs, like bars with stools, booths, etc.

Good idea on the lunch line, and how to keep the tables far, but i suggest regular chairs instead of benches, so more than 4 people congregate towards one table, but it seems as if there is too much empty space. I suggest a large salad bar.

Your design looks great! I have also noticed a need for more space for lunch lines and more seating area, which you have incoorporated into your design. My main and only concern is having a whole sheet of glass for a wall is not only difficult to maintain, but it offers little insulation. This is just a thing to think about. Good job though! I lovee your new design!

ICD, Thank you for your compliment. We didnt want a crowd of people.
Tanya, We do have alot of open space. I'll talk with my group about putting something there. Yes we have seating on that floor, our balcony, our roof, and also outside the cafeteria.
Desirae, Thank you for your advice. Like i said above I will talk with my group about things. Also not everyone likes sitting. Some people just like to stand and talk with there friends and that would be the place to do it.
Bram, Our tables do not have benches they are round tables with 8 chairs to a table. We wanted tables that were easy to put away for any community events and this way the chairs are attached. We do have 2 salad bars. If you look at our close up you will see the 2 salad bars.
Rebecca, Thank you for your comliment! We will take your advice into consideration.

it looks like you guys have solved alot of the technical issues nicely (overcrowding, toilet rooms, spatial arrangements, etc.) - but where is your design concept? your team had some great inspiration ideas - high school musical, amusement park landscaping - and i am not seeing those ideas clearly represented in your model shots.

also - there are no images of the balcony space, or the community gardens (or any landscaping really). i would be interested in seeing that part of the project in the next step.

I love the layout of this room. However with all of the remaining space I think it would be beneficial to add more types of seating and tables. Great work you guys.

I really like the space that this cafeteria has! It will be enough to have most of the school in there, I also really like this kitchen!
