The idea for the architecture project is to take the existing problems of Mira Loma's cafeteria and redesign the building into a more efficient and modern style. Examples of such problems include but are not limited to the absence of air conditioning, the limited amount of space in the kitchen area, the lack of storage room for tables, chairs, and sports related equipment, and the necessity for energy efficient materials.
Our intention is to focus on expanding the whole cafeteria outward and upward, including the kitchen and dining area. There will be two stories of dining space with the second story serving more as an interior balcony than a dividing floor.
From the panel interview, we discovered that the biggest problem was meeting the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements. Since we are building a two-storied lunchroom, we met the requirements by making a pathway that was wheelchair accessible to and from the building and have an elevator for access from the first story to the second story of the building. The doors will be expanded so a wheelchair can comfortably fit through. We were also informed of ways that the cafeteria could be used as a community center for residents after school hours. Examples of uses of the cafeteria would be ceremonies, award nights, club meetings, dances, etc. It was mentioned that a community garden could benefit our cafeteria. With the recent budget cut, a salad bar is no longer offered as an option during lunch. With the presence of a community garden, we could grow our own produce, such as lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers, therefore regaining the healthy alernative for lunch.

Cut and save your largest chunk of writing for later steps. Your first paragraph is sufficient for this tab. Thank you separating out the bullets for the director names. : )
I am confused about the "walk way for the ADA access"?
whoa. that wheelchair accessible ramp from level 1 to level 2 is going to be tough to pull off. good luck!
make sure you may attention to the maximum slope allowed by code. this ramp might be a lot longer than you anticipated.
